In Bangladesh, initiatives to provide rechargeable fans and lights align with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. These technologies contribute to reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources, promoting sustainability and accessibility in power consumption.

Social Aid’s “Project Cooling Hope” not only provides affordable and efficient solutions, but also enables low-income households to access reliable and cost-effective lighting and cooling options.The project aimed to improve the quality of life for poor and vulnerable families in Bangladesh by providing them with rechargeable fans and LED lights. This initiative sought to alleviate some of the challenges faced by these families, particularly during hot weather and power outage periods.
Through the utilization of rechargeable technologies, we also contribute to SDG 13: Climate Action by reducing carbon emissions and fostering a cleaner environment.
